The City of Madison is leading the way in energy efficiency and has been selected as a semifinalist to compete for the Georgetown University Energy Prize (GUEP), a nationwide competition between small- to medium-size cities and counties to reduce energy consumption. Under the City’s already-established “Green Madison” moniker, the City will endeavor to win the $5 million energy prize to use toward our city’s future sustainability efforts.
